Part Seven - God’s words in our mouths
Whether a person has been taught by someone else or they teach themselves, a person is responsible for the words they speak. “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”” (Matthew 12:36–38, NKJV)
One day, you will have a conversation with The LORD Jesus about everything you have said. He will then show you what your own words created and produced. To give an accounting is to show both sides of the ledger and determine how and where each penny (or word) was spent. If your theology disagrees with the words of The LORD Jesus, it is time to repent. Change the way you think because God doesn’t change. Your words matter. All of them. Our words kill or generate life.
What is the answer? Let’s repent of our words and receive with humility God’s words. Let’s retrain our mind through repentance and only say what God says. Talk things out in prayer with Holy Spirit. Get in The Word of God and study. Then decide what to say about stuff based upon the Word of God and the leading of Holy Spirit.
“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1:21, NKJV)
