Seeking Jesus First Dec. 20, 2024
Does everyone receive all of the promises which are in Christ Jesus?
“Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. … Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’ ”” (Luke 14:16–24, NKJV)
All things have been prepared and the table is set for the feast in the kingdom of God. All of the promises of our inheritance are in Christ, “Yes”. We have been given every spiritual blessing. However, if we do not come to the table of grace through faith, we will not receive. If we make excuses for why we do not partake of the feast of promises, we will not receive. If we do not stay dressed in the proper feasting garments, we will not receive.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV)
God has poured out grace and has given to every man the measure of faith. If we do not come to the feast clothed in the righteousness of God which is by faith, we will not receive the fullness of the feast of our inheritance. It is no longer a question of grace because grace is what God has done. It is a matter of faith because we use this God-given ability to access the full inheritance.
Come to the feast of promises. Turn away from all of your excuses. Put on the wedding garments of righteousness. Enter into the joy of The LORD. He is glorified when you eat of the feast.
