“If We Are Faithless, He Remains Faithful”
New Covenant Faith and the Heart of a Father – A Plea for Every Prodigal to Come Home
Beloved minister, fellow shepherd, and carrier of the fire of God,
Today the Holy Spirit is stirring a holy urgency in this word. We are not merely teaching theology—we are sounding the Father’s trumpet call across every far country, every pig pen, every hidden place of shame. The question still stands: Does God still bless someone who forsakes His word and will? The answer from the heart of the Father is louder than any accusation of the enemy: YES—because His love never stops running toward you.
Let the NKJV paint the picture with raw, undeniable power.
2 Timothy 2:13“If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
Luke 15:11-24 (the Father’s heart in living color) “Then He said: ‘A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, “Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.” So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself, he said, “How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.’” And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.” But the father said to his servants, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” And they began to be merry.’”
Listen closely, child of God—this is you and this is every prodigal you are called to reach.
He left the safety of the Father’s house. He demanded his inheritance early—as if the Father were already dead to him. He ran to a far country and squandered everything in riotous, unholy living. Then came the famine. Then came the pig pen. Picture it: the once-loved son, covered in filth, smelling of swine, fighting pigs for their slop. He had sunk to the lowest place a Jewish boy could imagine—unclean, broken, ashamed, friendless. The unholy things had become his daily bread.
Yet the Father never stopped loving him. The Father never revoked his sonship. The Father never cursed him. The Father never said, “You’ve gone too far this time.”
While the son was still covered in pig manure—still reeking of the far country—the Father was watching. The moment the son turned his heart toward home, the Father ran. He didn’t wait for the boy to clean himself up. He didn’t demand a probation period. He didn’t lecture first. He ran—robe flying, heart pounding—fell on that filthy neck, and kissed that shame-stained face.
This is the love of the Father under the New Covenant.
He is not a distant judge waiting to punish. He is a running Father whose arms are open wide, whose heart is breaking with longing to restore every son and daughter who has wandered. Even now, the Holy Spirit is drawing prodigals out of every filthy pit—addiction, pornography, bitterness, rebellion, compromise, secret sin. He sees you in the pit and He is not disgusted—He is moved with compassion.
Impassioned Plea from the Father’s Heart
Prodigal—wherever you are right now—come home!If you are feeding pigs, if the smell of sin still clings to you, if guilt screams you are no longer worthy—come home! The Father is not waiting for you to earn it. He is running toward you! The best robe (the robe of righteousness) is already prepared. The ring (the seal of sonship and authority) is ready for your finger. The sandals (the shoes of the gospel of peace) are waiting for your weary feet. The fatted calf (the feast of full restoration and joy) is on the fire.
You were dead—now you can be alive again! You were lost—now you can be found! The blessing you thought you forfeited is not gone; it is waiting in the Father’s house.
To every Spirit-filled minister reading this:This is our message to a generation of prodigals. Do not preach condemnation—preach the running Father! Lift your voice in the pulpits, on the streets, in the prayer rooms, and in the counseling offices. Cry out: “The Father is running! Turn around! He will restore you fully—no matter how deep the pit!” The same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is ready to raise every prodigal to walk in newness of life.
1 John 1:9 still stands: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Hebrews 13:5 still echoes: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Prayer for Every Returning Son and DaughterFather, right now, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we call every prodigal home. You see them in the pig pens of this world—covered in filth, yet still Your sons and daughters. Run to them! Let them feel the kiss of the Father today. Wrap them in the robe of righteousness. Place the ring of sonship on their finger. Kill the fatted calf of celebration over their lives. Heal every wound, break every chain, and restore the joy of their salvation. We decree: “This my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!” Fill Your ministers with fresh boldness to proclaim this gospel of returning grace. Let the Kingdom advance as prodigals come home by the thousands. In the mighty, restoring name of Jesus—Amen!
Now rise, beloved pastor and minister of the New Covenant. Go preach this running Father. The prodigals are stirring—ready to come home. The harvest is not just souls—it is restored sons and daughters walking in the fullness of Kingdom blessing.
Seeking Jesus first, The Father is running—let’s run with Him.
