Heavenly Father, the only wise God and King of all creation, we gather today at the Pasco County Courthouse on this National Day of Prayer with hearts fully turned toward You. We come not in our own strength, but in the name and authority of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Father, Your Word declares in Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” We declare today that we trust You completely. We refuse to lean on human wisdom, political strategies, or earthly understanding. We acknowledge You alone as the source of all true wisdom, and we ask You to direct the paths of every leader in this county, this state, and this nation.
Holy Spirit, we thank You for the promise in Romans 8:26-28: that in our weakness You help us, that You intercede for us with groanings too deep for words, and that You pray according to the will of God. Even now, as we stand in this place, we yield to Your perfect intercession. Pray through us. Align every word we speak with the perfect will of the Father so that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
We lift before You the government of Pasco County. We pray for our commissioners, judges, sheriff, and every public servant who stands in authority here. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in these halls as it is in heaven.
We lift the great State of Florida—from our Governor to every legislator, judge, and leader. Surround them with Your favor and truth.
We lift the United States of America—our President, Congress, Supreme Court, and all in positions of authority. We pray that every branch of government would submit to Your higher authority.
Now we make these bold decrees in the name of Jesus:
We decree and declare that the wicked shall face Your righteous judgment. Those who defraud, extort, and commit wickedness in high places shall lose their authority, their power, their wealth, and their influence. Their schemes shall crumble, their hidden agreements shall be exposed, and every throne of iniquity shall be overturned.
We decree that the righteous shall be exalted. Let men and women who fear God and walk in integrity be raised up in every level of government—county, state, and national. Let their voices be heard and their counsel be followed.
We decree that every law in this land shall be aligned with Your perfect plan and will. Laws that oppose Your Word shall be struck down, and laws that honor You shall be established.
We decree that our government shall grant justice to the poor and the abused. Let the oppressed find deliverance, the fatherless find protection, and the widow find provision through righteous governance.
We decree that every leader in government—local, state, and national—shall begin to hear the leading of the Holy Spirit and obey Your voice. Open their ears to hear, soften their hearts to respond, and give them courage to follow You even when it costs them popularity or position.
Father, let a fresh wind of Your Spirit blow through these courthouses, through Tallahassee, and through Washington, D.C. Turn the hearts of our leaders back to You. Let Your glory rest upon this land once again.
We believe it is done according to Your Word. We trust You with all our hearts. We thank You that the Holy Spirit is praying with us and through us right now.
