“But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more” Rom. 5:20b
Because of God’s love for us, He provided a way of salvation for us.
This is why…
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, NKJV)
Because of God’s own goodness and kindness toward us, He leads us to where we can find repentance - a better way of believing, speaking, thinking and living.
“Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness (kindness) of God leads you to repentance?” (Romans 2:4, NKJV)
God’s kindness shows us the path to repentance. We find the place of repentance because God, in His goodness, shows us where it is.
Once we find repentance…
“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10, NKJV)
Godly sorrow works or produces the repentance that leads to salvation. This godly sorrow works in us to produce the change that repentance requires.
Repentance = The mind of Christ, or, the best way to to believe, speak, think and live in the earth.
God’s love, God’s kindness and Godly sorrow keeps us from returning to the wrong way of believing, speaking, thinking and living.
