Seeking Jesus First - April 27, 2023

Our Father in Heaven has QUALIFIED us to be PARTAKERS of the INHERITANCE of the saints in the LIGHT. We have been delivered from darkness and we dwell in the kingdom of light. Right now…

“giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:12–14, NKJV)

“Deliver” means to draw to one’s self.

“Power” is the word authority. From the Greek word ‘exousia’.

God has drawn us out of of the authority of darkness to Himself. We are in God’s kingdom now. What authority does darkness have over God’s kingdom?

Is God light or darkness?

Is God love or apathy?

Is God life or death?

We have been drawn out of the authority of darkness into the authority of God’s dearly beloved son. We are now in the kingdom of light, love and life.

God, by delivering us, has drawn us to Himself. If we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. Through faith in Christ Jesus, we draw near to God. God draws us out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the son of His love.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV)

• In order to draw near to God, it takes faith.
• In order to worship God in spirit and truth, it takes faith.
• In order to receive the love of God, it takes faith.
• In order to receive the grace of God, it takes faith.
• In order to receive anything from God, it takes faith.

It takes faith because what comes from God starts in a different realm. It starts in a different kingdom. Jesus was The Word made flesh. Jesus had to manifest from a different realm. And, in order for Jesus to manifest in the earth, God used the faith of a young virgin lady named Mary.

Before God created man, He used His own faith and words to create. After he created man in His own image, God started working with the faith of humanity in order to create and build.

Have we been transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s dear son? Yes we have.

Whose authority are we under? We are under the authority of Christ Jesus, King of kings, who has been given all dominion in heaven and on earth (See Matt. 28:28). If we are under His authority, then we have His authority to do whatever He tells us to do. We have His permission to acquire whatever He has promised. It honors Him for us to believe and obey Him. It honors him for us to believe and receive His Word/Promise (See 2 Cor. 1:20).

• It honors God for you to be healed by His stripes.
• It honors God for you to have abundant life.
• It honors Jesus for you to prosper and be in health as your soul prospers.
• It honors Christ Jesus for you to never lack.
• It honors God for you to work hard and succeed.
• It honors God for you to believe and receive.
• It honors God for you to walk in love, light and life.
• It honors God for you to resist darkness and all that pertains to darkness - hate, unforgiveness, sickness, lust, condemnation, poverty, lies, etc..

We do all of this by faith in the one who has given us the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness so that we can reign in life through the one Christ Jesus. Give thanks to Our Father who has QUALIFIED us to be PARTAKERS of the INHERITANCE of the saints in the LIGHT.
