In which kingdom do you abide?

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,” (Colossians 1:13, NKJV)

Delivered from one thing to another thing that is completely different. When Amazon delivers your order, it leaves the warehouse and shows up at your house. Removed from one thing or place and delivered to another thing or place.

“Power” is actually the word “authority”. We are removed from the authority of darkness and have been placed under the authority of God’s dear son. God’s dear son is a King. Being King means His authority is a kingdom. Darkness, the devil, is not a king. He is a fallen angel. He does not have his own kingdom. This is a reason why he hates humanity and wants to destroy us.

What is the culture of the authority of darkness?

Live according to the desires of the flesh. The carnal mind is at war with God. “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:5–6, NKJV)

What is the culture of the kingdom of God?

Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.“ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17, NKJV) Faith, Hope and love. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV)

We have been delivered from the authority of darkness into the kingdom authority of The LORD Jesus Christ. We are not subject to the devil’s authority. If Christ Jesus has authority over the devil (He does), then we, being under Christ’s authority and delivered to Christ’s kingdom, have Christ’s authority over the devil and his dark power. “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7, NKJV)
