Is it righteous or unrighteousness to oppose God?

Who opposes God? The devil, darkness, the carnal mind.

Do you oppose God?

Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.” (Isaiah 46:9–11, NKJV)

God declared the end from the beginning.

Now look at this well known passage. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:1–3, NKJV)

The word for world is the plural of the word “aion” which means “age” or a period of time. Some people may call it a dispensation. But when you pluralize “aion”, it sometimes gets translated “forever and ever”. It can be understood as more than one, or as all periods of time, past and future. However, sometimes it is translated as "world", which, in common language could change the original meaning. That being said, the translators had their own good resons for using the words they used.  Feel free to study it deeper if you like.

From the definition of the word and what we know about God, and in the context of comparing these verses and seeing how they fit together, we derive an understanding that God framed all of the ages from the beginning with His own words. The sovereign God who created all things with His words, and set the boundaries for the seas, also set up a framework (boundary) for every age by speaking the beginning and the ending of each before they ever started. This includes right up until time ceases to be understood the way we currently perceive it in this age.

Have you started wondering how this message goes with the intro question about opposing God?

If we are not saying what God has said, we are opposing God. The great thing about all of this is that God, by His Holy Spirit with us and in us, will teach, tell, and remind us all that God, (The Father and The LORD Jesus, has and is saying. He will never contradict His word. We can know the words of God. Therefore, we can know the will of God. Therefore, we can speak in agreement with the will and word of God. Therefore, we do not have to oppose God with our words.
