Seeking Jesus First Dec. 8, 2025

From the message by Dr. Karl Barancik at Kingdom Life Church on Dec. 7, 2025

What if we already have what we keep asking for?

The cross wasn’t a down payment on our salvation. “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:2, NKJV) “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10, NKJV)

Salvation comes with an inheritance. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” (Romans 8:16–17, NKJV)

Salvation along with the inheritance includes every spiritual blessing and every promise of God. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” (Ephesians 1:3, NKJV) “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV)

By His grace, we have received every good thing in Christ Jesus. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:2–4, NKJV)

This includes forgiveness of sins, righteousness and healing in our bodies. “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:24–25, NKJV)

It includes emotional healing and strength of character. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” (Galatians 5:22, NKJV)

It includes faith, hope and the love of God. “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5, NKJV)

It includes the natural and financial needs of life. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Philippians 4:19–20, NKJV)

We have access to to all of it by faith. “that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” (Philemon 6, NKJV)
