Seeking Jesus First Feb. 11, 2025

We come to God with the mindset of a child.
“But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”” (Mark 10:14–15, NKJV)
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV)
It is about desire, humility and trust. We know that we need God. We believe He loves us and wants to do good to us. We know that He will do what He said.
Do you want to enter into the kingdom of God? Your body does not have to die for you to enter into it. You just have to believe and pursue the God who loves you enough to come as a man and die on a cross for you. Jesus Christ is the door that we enter through into God’s kingdom. We simply believe and speak.
That is what a child does. When I was a little boy, I would wake up in the morning and go to the door of my mom’s room and knock on it. Then I would say, “I’m hungry, will you make breakfast?” My mom would get up and make breakfast for me. Then one day, she taught me how to make breakfast and I started making breakfast.
We come to God thirsty and He gives us the fountain of life to drink from. He does this because He loves us and because we are thirsty. As we grow in our relationship, God teaches us how to access everything that we desire from His kingdom.
