Worthiness is the value placed on something by those who desire to have that thing. What is the value of the eternal human? God placed his value at the price of His Son. Calling Jesus worthy is calling yourself worthy…
Let’s take a look at how Our Heavenly Father views us for a minute and then not let that thought go ever again.
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16–17 (NKJV)
God is Holy and so is His temple. You are God’s temple. You are Holy. You have been made Holy by God Himself. When He gave His only begotten son because of the great love wherewithal He loves us, He determined your worth.
Then God used the blood from the sacrificial death of His beloved Son to make you Holy as He is Holy. Jesus was the only one worthy to be that sacrifice because His blood has not been tainted by man’s sin. No man, not one would have ever been found worthy to be that sacrifice. Only God’s own son with God’s own pure blood in His veins could have paid that price.
But It Father in Heaven determined our worthiness and made us Holy.
Otherwise, how is this scripture possible?“but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15–16 (NKJV)
It is possible because the one who sanctifies you is Holy and whoever He sanctifies is also Holy (See Heb. 2:11).
“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NKJV)
Our Father, YHVH Shalom, God of Peace, The God Who makes all things whole and complete with nothing lacking or broken, The Holy God, is the one sanctifying us with His Word.
Therefore, we are Holy.
We are His Holy temple.
His Holly Spirit dwells in us and with us.
The Spirit of Holiness abides in us.
Therefore, we are Holy as He is Holy.
This is how God as determined or worthiness… by the worthiness of His Son, our LORD Jesus Christ.
This probably seems wrong to a lot of people, but that is because we are using the world’s wisdom. But we have not received the spirit of the world but we have received the Spirit of God. We have the mind of Christ and let His Way of thinking rule in us.
From now on, I submit to God’s Way of thinking and speaking about me. So, I say, “I am Holy.”
“Our Father, thank You for sanctifying me with Your Word. I believe it and I receive it. Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me believe and receive and for giving me this better understanding of what Christ Jesus has done for me. Thank You Lord Jesus.”
