Is God Sovereign? Did God make the rules that govern the universe? Did God make the rules that govern Himself? We may see sovereignty differently, but… Does God have the authority to include someone of His own choosing in the Godhead?

God is not a man that He should lie. It is impossible for God to lie. So God has the ability to constrain Himself. God can limit Himself with His words. God can remove the limitations from us with His words.

All things are possible with God. All things are possible to him who believes.

A few days ago, we talked about the oneness and unity of God. Then we contrasted it to the distinctions between the members of The Godhead. Then we saw how God included those who put their faith in Christ in that unity and oneness.

It was God’s plan from the beginning to include those who believe in the body of Christ. The body of Christ is not one giant physical body. It is one giant spiritual body with many members. We are one spirit with God and one spirit with each other.

From the beginning, God had the authority in Himself to gather those who believe in His Son into the spiritual body of His Son. There is a reason for saying something in more than one way. It sounds like repetition. But repetition is the key to learning. There is no manipulation in this. However, there is renewing of the mind taking place.

I’ll tell you plainly what I hope we will be able to believe through these statements.

God is love and intends more for humanity that we have currently accessed.

God loves us because He loves us because He loves us, etc.

The Scripture is clear that, through faith in Christ Jesus:

  • We are righteous.
  • We are sanctified.
  • We are justified.
  • We are holy.
  • We are accepted in The Beloved.
  • We are a fit “spouse” for Christ Jesus. This means we are made equal to Christ. Scripture tells us to not be unequally yoked.
  • We are complete.
  • We have the right and privilege to become sons of God.
  • We are sons of God.
  • We have the very Spirit of God dwelling in us.
  • We are one with Christ Jesus.
  • We are one with The Father.
  • As He is so are we in the earth.
  • We have the faith of God.
  • We are seated with Christ in heaven’s throne.
  • We can do anything.
  • We are new creatures. Who we are now, in Christ, didn’t exist before we put our faith in Christ Jesus.
  • We are the family of The Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We are included in Christ Jesus in the Godhead. We are not The Father, The Word or The Holy Spirit. We have unity with each, so we have unity with all. But each of us is both one with each other and distinct from each other. In the same way that the members of the Godhead are one and still distinct, we are both one with The Father, Son and Holy Spirit and yet distinct from each.

Take the shackles off your mind and believe God’s word. His words are spirit and life to us. As I minds release the limits, we are transformed from glory to glory into His image.

How does our mind release the limits? We look at Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith. As we look upon Him, we receive His love and become like Him. We look upon Him with the help of Holy Spirit and The Word. His Spiritual Words give light and life to us. We begin thinking as He thinks and speaking as He speaks and acting as He acts - with love and truth at the core of our being. All because The God of love and truth decided to include us in Himself.
