What does the word mean that we are anointed to get wealth? Does it mean that we can sit back and do nothing and expect success to run over and jump on us? Without training or education, without knowledge, without experience?

The blessing of God flows into whatever we put our hand to do.

In business, what things affect work outcomes?

The type of job is not so important. Think about the things that can reduce outcomes.

Inability

  • Lack of resources or supplies
  • Sickness
  • Lack of transportation

Disability

  • Sickness
  • Injury
  • Failure to make compensating accommodations for a disability

Inconsistency

  • Differing in high and low levels of intensity
  • Making mistakes
  • Being late to work or leaving early
  • Doing personal things during time set aside for doing business

Mental health or attitude

  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Lack of interest in work
  • Mean managers or coworkers

Incomplete knowledge (training)

  • Management not having a thorough training program
  • Not giving the training program the proper allotment of time and attention
  • Gaps in procedural training
  • Not knowing how important your job is as part of the overall flow of work

Inexperience

  • High turnover of employees
  • Moving people around to unfamiliar areas of work

In the natural, business people try to eliminate things that can reduce outcomes and lower production.

Have we ever looked at our own lives with the same kind of evaluating eye?

Are we able to increase our own outcomes in life?

What would happen if we focused on changing the things that we can?

As people, can we try to operate as close to high efficiency as possible? Can we consistently apply the same levels of high intensity during training and work times?

Can we start being on time? Can we stop doing personal things during time allotted for training or business?

Is there a way for us to increase our knowledge, training and experience in life and in our own business or job? In our Christian walk? Can we retrain ourselves for success?

What can we do to increase our faith? What can we do to increase our love walk?

Can we avoid avoidable mistakes? Can we learn and prepare ourselves to make better decisions?

What about mental health? Are we able to overcome the things that cause us such great distraction in life? Are we able to learn how to deal with mean people in a way that wins their agreement or at least manage our own emotions in those interactions?

I believe this is possible in Christ. If it is possible for an unbeliever to improve his life and prepare himself for greater success, how much more is it possible for a believer who is empowered by The Father, The Word and Holy Spirit?

Which one of these things that you can change or control are you able to start working on today?

Evaluate your current work ethic and attitude. Write it in your journal. Pick an area that you can begin changing. Then start purposefully improving that area through faith and faithfulness. Read the word and read books on the topic. Learn something new or deepen your understanding of the work that you do. Ask God for wisdom and be led by Holy Spirit. Speak to those around you who “score high” in that area. Eliminate things (maybe even associations) that reenforce weak language and  behavior. Re-evaluate once a month and compare your outcomes. You will increase because you are anointed to increase and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

You are not a victim. “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV)
