God, our Father, will always be faithful to His word.

This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:11–13, NKJV)

Apostle Paul said that this statement is true and full of faith. We can stand our faith on this saying.

  • “If we died with Him”, we shall also live with Him.” “Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:2–4, NKJV) “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:11, NKJV)
  • “If we endure we shall also reign with Him.” “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13, NKJV) “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)” (Romans 5:17, NKJV)
  • If we deny Him, He also will deny us.” “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32–33, NKJV)
  • If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19, NKJV) “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” (Hebrews 6:17–18, NKJV)\

This last statement is often quoted without the last part of the quote. “He remains faithful, He cannot deny Himself.” He is always faithful to Himself and to His Word - which is exactly what He wants us to do.
