Decree What God Has Said – Do Not Declare the Devil’s Lies
Key Verses (NKJV)Isaiah 51:16 – “And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”
Isaiah 59:20-21 – “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord. “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” Says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”

Reflection
Our God is the Creator who spoke the universe into existence. “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:3). The same God who created with words has placed His words in our mouths (Isaiah 51:16 & 59:21). This is not a minor detail—it is a covenant privilege.
The enemy, however, wants us to rehearse his lies: “You are unworthy… You will always fail… This sickness defines you… You are rejected.” He tempts us to declare what he has tried to make true about us. But we are not called to echo the voice of the accuser. We are called to decree what our Creator and Redeemer has declared over us.
Jesus, our Redeemer, has come to Zion (Isaiah 59:20). He has given us His Spirit and placed His words in our mouths as an everlasting covenant. When we speak God’s truth about who we are in Christ, we participate in the same creative power that framed the worlds. Our declarations do not deny problems—they overcome them by aligning our words with Heaven’s reality.
You are not what the devil says. You are what God says: fearfully and wonderfully made, His workmanship, a new creation, chosen before the foundation of the world, filled with the Greater One, and eternally loved.
What God Thinks About His Creation and His People
God does not see you through the enemy’s accusations. He sees you as the pinnacle of His creation, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and equipped with His own words. He covers you with the shadow of His hand and calls you, “You are My people.” He has destined your mouth to release Kingdom realities, not demonic reports.
Promises Released Over Believers
- God’s words in your mouth will not depart from you or your descendants—forever.
- The Holy Spirit upon you empowers every faith-filled declaration.
- Your Redeemer has already come—victory is your starting place, not a distant hope.
- As you decree God’s truth, you plant heavens and lay foundations of righteousness in your life and family.
Sample Daily Confession (Speak this aloud)
“I refuse to declare what the devil has tried to make true about me. I decree what my Creator has spoken. You have put Your words in my mouth and covered me with the shadow of Your hand. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. I am a new creation; old things have passed away. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. Nothing shall separate me from Your love. My mouth releases Your truth today, and it shall not depart from me or my children’s children, from this time and forevermore. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the high honor of carrying Your words. Forgive me for any time I have rehearsed the enemy’s lies. Today I align my mouth with Your covenant. Let Your Spirit empower every declaration I make, that I may walk in the Kingdom Life You designed for me. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
