Sunday Morning Sermon Notes - "The I AM is His Name because the I AM is Who He Is."

Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’” (Exodus 3:13–15, NKJV)

EHYAH - I AM

MANY PEOPLE SAY HIS NAME SOUNDS MORE LIKE BREATHING. Ehyah is the source of life and breath. Ehyah is The Spirit of Life.

God introduced Himself as I AM and told Moses to declare His Name Ehyah to Israel. But for some reason, they stopped writing it as Ehyah and started writing it as YHWH. We were told that the reason was because they were afraid of saying the name of The LORD in vain.

God introduced Himself as I AM because He is the source of everything.

When We say the names of God as, in no particular order,

- Jehovah Shalom,

- Jehovah Shammah,

- Jehovah Jireh,

- Jehovah Tsikednu,

- Jehovah Nissi,

- Jehovah Rapha,

- Jehovah Rohi,

- Jehovah Mikeddish,

We are calling Him,

- I AM your PEACE AND your COMPLETION

- I AM WITH YOU,

- I AM your PROVISION,

- I AM your RIGHTEOUSNESS,

- I AM your BANNER,

- I AM your HEALER,

- I AM your SHEPHERD,

- I AM your SANCTIFICATION (Set apart for a purpose - Mission).

The I AM cannot be depicted as the image of anything because He is the source of all things. There is a reason that our Bible starts with these words, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

We seek The I AM because He is the source of all that we need. When you are one with Him, you have Peace, Presence, Provision, Righteousness, His Name, Healing, His Comfort and Guidance, and Holiness.

We do not need to seek Peace because in Him we are peaceful.

We do not need to seek presence because in Him we are never alone. We simply place our focus on Him.

We do not need to beg for provision, because in him we are provisioned. By seeing ourselves in him, His Name is on us, we have healing, we are comforted, we are never without a knowing of what is the right way, and our mission is clear. Whoever is joined with the LORD is one spirit with Him. Instead of beggars, we are kings and priests. We go to God on our own behalf through faith in the one who loved us and gave Himself for us. As kings we make declarations, decrees and confessions of faith in God, His Son and His Word.

ABBA also means source. Let’s take a look at how Jesus speaks of Himself.

“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.” They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.” Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:37–47, NKJV)

I declare what I have seen with My Father.

I Tell you the truth which I have heard from My Father.

If God were your Father, you would love me.

I proceeded forth from and came from God the Father.

He who is of God hears God’s words. Jesus is of GOD.

Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” (John 10:34–38, NKJV)

The Father sanctified (set apart for His own purpose) ME -Jesus and sent Jesus into the world.

I do the works of The Father.

The Father is in me and I am in Him. Believe it.

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” (John 14:8–21, NKJV)

If you have seen me, you have seen The Father.

I am in The Father and The Father is in me.

I speak the words of The Father.

I do the works of The Father.

You will do the works of The Father because I go to The Father.

When The Father does what you ask, He glorifies me.

I will give you My Holy Spirit and through Him I will be with you and in you.

You will see me even through the world cannot.

I live  and you will live.

My life will be in you.

You will know that I am in My Father and you are in me and I am in you.

Through our mutual love, I will be manifest to you and to them.

And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.” His disciples said to Him, “See, now You are speaking plainly, and using no figure of speech! Now we are sure that You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this we believe that You came forth from God.” Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:23–33, NKJV)

Through our love and unity, you will ask The Father for anything and He will give it to you so that you will be filled with joy.

Because of love I came forth from The Father into the world.

I leave the world and return to The Father.

I am not alone because The Father is with me.

In me you have peace.

Tribulation will come at you in the world but I have overcome the world, so be cheerful.

When we seek The Lord, our focus is on the I Am.

What I need is found in Him.

I am found in Him.

When i am found in Him, I have all I need.

Whoever Is joined with the Lord is one spirit with Him.

If you confess me before men that I am in you, I will confess you before the Father that you are in me.

Christ in us the hope of glory.

The anointing, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us and makes us alive.

Where is our identity found?

Our identity is found in Christ.

We were made in His image and in His likeness.

I am going to use terms that are not the typical language of “Christianity”.

God used the template of Himself to make humanity.

God cloned Himself.

Because of rebellion, Humanity devolved from that image.

Humanity lost the spark of eternal life and received a death sentence. The heavenly breath became tainted by the lust of the flesh.

They received the same sentence that was reserved for the devil and for the angels who rebelled against God.

Eternal hell fire.

Eternal separation from the Word And Spirit of God.

Eternal separation from the presence of God.

But God was not satisfied to let the devil have us and keep us in hell- separated from all that is good.

When God became a human baby boy and entered into Mary’s womb, he did not use the rebellious DNA of Adam and Eve. He used His own pure Heavenly DNA. While Adam, because of his rebellion, became a virus in humanity that turned all into sin zombies, Jesus was, is and forever will be a life giving spirit- the antidote to sin.

When an antidote is made, they take the poison and put it in something that can kill it. Then they use the blood that can kill the virus as the antidote to the poison.

Himself was made to be sin on a cross, the sin killed His physical body, the part that came from Mary, but He was unkillable because He was still eternal.

Jesus was given authority and power to lay His life down and to take it back up again.

If we believe we were crucified with Him, we believe we were also raised up with Him from the dead. We have been raised and are seated with Him in the Heavenly places. In other words, we have received the divine nature, the heavenly DNA, that grants us heavenly access.

We have been given access to The Father, The Word and The Spirit of God.

We have received the Nature and DNA of The I Am.

Only, we still have this fleshly body.
