What is a Scriptural purpose for being a “royal priesthood”?
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” (1 Peter 2:9, NKJV)
This Scripture says that one major purpose of being a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and God’s own special people is so that we, “may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Our first response is to proclaim the praises of God.
What will happen to your testimony if your primary form of communication is proclaiming the praises of God? WOW!
Let me tell you something right now. I repent.
What will happen to my life if I abide in Christ Jesus and let His words abide in me to the extent, that when I speak, I speak the words of Christ with praise and thanksgiving to God?
Let’s purpose in our heart to keep His words in our mouth with praise and thanksgiving to Him.
Let’s meditate in His words day and night. “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Hebrews 13:15, NKJV)
Let’s observe and do what He said with joy in our hearts. If we do, we will make our way prosperous and successful.
