What is the kingdom of God like?

Jesus said that it is as a mustard seed planted in a garden and like a a bit of leaven inserted into dough. The mustard seed aspect speaks of how it will never stop growing and influencing the environment where it was planted. The leaven aspect speaks to how each individual person is completely transformed by it. The kingdom of God, over time, will continue to expand; and as it does, it will transform and influence everything it touches.
