Seeking Jesus First Nov.7, 2025
One of the most important, powerful, and life changing statements of Jesus Christ, He used when talking to the devil.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’”
If we will live on the word of God, and resist every other word, we will walk in victory, blessing and favor.
God’s word:
- Authored creation
- Grants Life
- Gives Light
- Reveals Love
- Inspires Faith
- Carries Authority
- Teaches Truth
- And so much more!
“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,” (1 Peter 1:22–23, NKJV)
Our faith response to The Word of God determines our unity with it. The just shall live by faith in every word proceeding from the mouth of God. God’s word is eternal, just as He is. We stand on, “It is written.”, just like Jesus stood on it. When God’s word becomes our word, we walk in victory, blessing and favor. Faith in God is faith in God’s word. Faith in The One The Father has sent is faith in The Father. Faith in Christ Jesus is faith in God’s Word. We live on every word of God. The life of God is produced in the ones who faithfully receive and believe His words.
“Heavenly Father, I believe and receive all of Your words. Let Your incorruptible seed purify and sanctify my soul and body. I pursue Your word as I pursue Christ Jesus, even as Your love has pursued me.” “Thank You, LORD Jesus. I am in You and You are in me.”
