The grace of God teaches us how we should live.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” (Titus 2:11–14, NKJV)

The grace of God teaches us and empowers us to live a certain way. God has declared that it is for our good that we live His way. When we deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we walk in the freedom of a clear conscience. We stop sowing to the flesh and reaping destruction. We are to live by the grace of God and not by the carnal mind. We live soberly or circumspectly. We consider our actions and how they impact others. We live righteously, according to the righteousness of God by faith. We live godly, imitating our Heavenly Father as dear children, walking in the love of Christ as The LORD Jesus Christ has loved us. We live as sons of God who are led by the Holy Spirit.

The grace of God teaches us this. The grace of God empowers this. The grace of God is working in us both to will and to do the good pleasure of God, our Father.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”” (Galatians 2:20–21, NKJV)
