Who has the right to rebuke you? Whom do you have a right to rebuke?  A right is understood as authority. A rebuke is a sharp correction given from a position of authority or from a position of relationship. For a rebuke to be accepted by someone, it should probably come from a person they recognize as having permission to do it. How do you know if you have permission to rebuke someone? How does someone else know if they have permission in your life to rebuke you? And why rebuke, when you can exhort, encourage and comfort?
