“And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done. Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.” (Genesis 24:66–67, NKJV)
This is the second time “love” is mentioned in TheBible. Once again love is used to describe family. The first time was love for a son and the second time was love for a wife. God created mankind for family. A person cannot be more fulfilled than he is as a loving part of a loving family.
Let’s go a level deeper on this. God created man to be His family. Therefore, no human will be truly fulfilled without a loving relationship with God. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world but to save it.” Jesus said, “I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18, NKJV) “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”” (Romans 8:15, NKJV) “to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:5–7, NKJV)
