A freely given gift has no strings or conditions. And yet, it must be received to be enjoyed. An unknown inheritance is an unreceived inheritance. A rejected gift is an unreceived gift. And once it is received, it must be embraced to take advantage of its full potential.
God freely gave His Son as a sacrifice for the sin of the world. The only thing that one must do is receive. Faith is your, “Yes” to the gift. “I believe so I receive.” But how many believe and never fully embrace the gift? How many receive the gift and never realize the full potential of the salvation of God?
Wherever you are in your walk, whether you are a non-believer, a new believer or even a mature believer and follower of Christ, there is always more available to you in your inheritance in Christ. Some of it awaits you in heaven, but there is so much available to you here on earth in this life that you will never get bored if you keep on growing.
“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)” (Romans 5:17, NKJV)
