“And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.” (John 5:37–38, NKJV)
You cannot receive the Father if you do not receive His word.
You cannot receive Jesus if you cannot receive His word.
His word is the expression of Him.
His word speaks His desire.
His word declares His will.
His words are the building blocks of this world.
His words are the building blocks of our lives.
His words are spirit and life. His words are eternal life. His words give life.
Make a covenant with your heart to believe and receive God’s words.
Then make a covenant with your mouth to agree with God’s words.
The mind of the flesh is at war with God. Until you receive God’s words, your words will war with God.
King David, a man after God’s own heart, prayed, Set a watch before my lips that I might not sin against God.
Understand that King David considered words that were not aligned with God’s heart to be a sin against God.
Whatever is not of faith is sin.
We are sinning when we are not speaking in faith - in alignment with God’s own words. God’s words originate in love.
Why is this so important? Because when you believe in the one whom the Father sent, you have His words abiding in you. Speaking the truth in love, we grow up into Christ, in all things.
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV)
