You are the gatekeeper for what comes out of your mouth. Keep it closed unless you are going to release the grace of God in faith, hope and love. Chew your words and see how they taste before opening your mouth and letting them out. Realize that your words are like delivery trucks. They carry construction equipment or demolition tools. Your words can build and edify the hearer or they can devastate them. Even if you think the only hearer is you, there are spiritual factors involved.
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,...” (Read Ephesians 4:29–5:2, NKJV)
