Make a covenant with your heart to humbly trust God and the truth that He shares. Make a covenant with your mouth to speak the truth in love. If you be perfected in this, you be perfect. When we deviate from the loving word of God, we create our own problems. This is what Matthew 12:36-37 means. When we speak, we are scattering seed in the atmosphere around us. Jesus explained the parable of the sower by saying, “The sower sows the word”. A kingdom sower sows the word of the kingdom. A person under kingdom authority has authority to declare the word of the kingdom. An ambassador only has authority to speak on behalf of his kingdom. If he speaks of his own accord, he is outside of his authority. When one of God’s sons or daughters opens his mouth and misrepresents God or God’s word, this authorized individual is operating in an unauthorized manner. God authorizes His own words. Jesus only said what He heard the Father say. Jesus told his challengers, (paraphrased) “If I say something that my Father did not say, I would be a liar like you because you do not have The Father’s words in you.” Do you want to walk in God’s authority? Do not stop believing and saying what God has said.
