Seeking Jesus First - Daily Worship, Spirit and Word - Jan. 12, 2024

Christ Jesus revealed the grace, goodness and righteousness of God wrapped in faith, hope and love. He revealed the grace and desire of God to save and restore what He created. He showed us that The Father is more interested in restoring relationship than punishing sinners. God gave everyone who believes the gifts of righteousness, justification and sanctification. We don’t get what we deserve. We get what Christ Jesus deserves. And Christ in us is our hope of glory. Holy Spirit is proof of our qualification for the inheritance. We participate with Christ Jesus in the resurrection. We are seated with Him in the heavenly places.  We are in Christ and He is in us. Let’s stop talking about what we would be without Him and start talking about what we are with Him. Rather than saying, “I would be lost without Him”, say, “In Christ, I am made more than a conqueror.” It is not humility to point out the difference between your old unsaved self and Christ. It is humility to accept the gifts provided by His grace and walk in the fullness of Christ. Use your faith to call yourself what God calls you. It is the ultimate form of humility to lay down your own ideas and accept His.
