SJF - Daily Worship, Spirit and Word - Jan. 16, 2023

Are you focused on right and wrong? Change your focus to living in relationship with Christ Jesus. God is showing His kindness to us. He is rich in mercy and He loves us. There is no question that God is love. So love motivates His actions. He is not angry at you because of sin. God hates sin because it destroys people. He wants what is best for you. This is why He speaks and leads. The Word of God is given to save you. His Word Saves, Heals, Delivers, Blesses, Forgives. His Word does not curse. His word blesses.

God offers us relationship - spiritual intimacy. He gave us His Holy Spirit to be with us and in us. Can there be greater spiritual intimacy than that? “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” (1 Corinthians 6:17, NKJV)

We have been saying for decades, “It is not about religion. It is about relationship.” We are spiritually joined to God as one spirit. We can know and experience His voice and His presence. However, if we disregard what He says, His voice becomes harder to hear. Pray continually (talk to God and listen with your heart). Go to church (fellowship withe believers). Read your Bible (ask Holy Spirit to teach you). Worship (get alone with God and spend time in His presence). Believe God (align your words and deeds with what He says). Be loved by God and be forgiven (resist guilt and condemnation).

We are the righteousness of God in Christ.
