King Jesus has dominion over all. It was given to Him by “Our Father in Heaven”. We have a role in that dominion. First, we bring ourselves under His authority by humbling ourselves before His grace by faith, hope and most of all, love. When we submit to His dominion, we participate in His dominion. We do not become merely subjects, even though we believe that would have been enough. It was not enough because it was not the will of God. God brings us into the family through adoption and through unity of His Spirit which He gives us.
The confusing part is that there are two realms - heaven and earth. The spiritual realm and the physical realm. God made the physical realm from the spiritual realm; therefore the physical realm can be impacted by the spiritual realm. L
Make a mental picture of you standing on the earth with the sky above you. String the earth so that your stick figure person is on an exaggerated curve representing the earth curve. The sky above you represents a spiritual realm and the earth below you represents the physical realm. You stand between them. You are the connection point of spirit and earth.
You are a spirit with a soul, living in a physical body in the physical realm. When your body dies, you don’t. You have God’s Spirit in “unity” (a state of being in fellowship and harmony together) with the spiritual you. This is true because God willed it and you said, “Yes” by faith. You operate in the physical world and have the spiritual authority of God (if you are submitted to Him) to make changes in the earth.
Faith converts spiritual truth into physical reality. God’s word is spiritual truth. It starts with receiving the identity of Christ in you by faith. Then it grows to lovingly and faithfully expressing the will of God in the earth through words and actions. This is how the earth is transformed. We are transformed by the renewing of our minds, but the earth is transformed by the righteous words and acts of the manifested sons of God.
