If you exercise self control in your life, I honor you. Self control is a fruit of the spirit that engages your will to bring a disciplined approach to the way you live your life. Look at all the ways self control can impact your life:
- Victory over impulse driven actions.
- Victory over addictions.
- Victory over temper.
- Victory over excess indulgences.
- Victory over slothfulness.
- Victory over obesity.
- Victory over procrastination.
- Victory over many physical problems related to these things.
- Victory over financial problems related to these things.
We all know people who are self disciplined and we see them doing well in so many areas of life. This can become an area of selfishness, self righteousness and condemning others, if we lose sight of faith, hope and love. So, keep walking by faith ,which works by love, and fills us with hope, as we draw from the spirit and exercise self control. The spirit produces self control in us so that we can walk in victory as sons of God.
