How is the Abrahamic Blessing received? It is an inheritance so it has to be known, claimed, applied and used. How can I participate in a blessing/inheritance that I know nothing about? How can I be touched by something that I will not claim? How can the inheritance change my situation if I do not use it?
“I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”” (Genesis 12:2–3, NKJV)
We are part of a great nation. We have been included in the kingdom of God - the domain of God. The kingdom of God is our inheritance in this life on the earth. Jesus said, in Matthew 28, “All authority in heaven and in earth has been given to me by my Father in heaven.” Jesus already has the authority over heaven and earth. Jesus also taught in Matthew 5:5, “The meek shall inherit the earth.” Apostle Paul, in Romans 4:13 reminded believers that Abraham and his descendants would inherit the world. Then he went to pains to make believers understand that it was Abraham’s faith in God that received the promise and, through Christ Jesus, those who believe should receive the promise by faith.
We are blessed and our names will become great. We have been made kings and priests 1 Peter 2). We shall become an extension of the name of Christ Jesus and do greater works than He did (John 14:12). We shall be a blessing. We are generous and kind, full of love and the fruit of the spirit. God blesses those who bless us and cures those who curse us. God is not mocked, a person reaps what he sows. All of the families of the earth receive the blessing through us. We go and preach the good news and make disciples of all peoples. We carry God’s promises to people who do not know about them.
