Daily Worship, Spirit and Word - June 24, 2024

How long does God woo a person? How long will God try to win someone’s heart?

It would seem that God tries until He stops trying. Weird answer, right?

Revelation 3:20 (NKJV): Behold,  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,  I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Luke 13:25 (NKJV):  When once the Master of the house has risen up and  shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying,  ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you,  ‘I do not know you…’”

Christ Jesus is at the door inviting us all to come into fellowship with Him. He desires an intimate fellowship with each of us. He is no longer looking for “servants”. He is looking for someone to set free and adopt - making them family and household members. Picture Jesus standing at the door of His own house ringing the dinner bell, shouting to everyone, “Come and dine with me.” “Come and know me and be known by me.” “Enter into the joyful relationship of family with me.”

There will come a time that He will stop ringing the dinner bell, close the door, and sit down and fellowship with those who have entered. If you are on the fence, for whatever reason; if you are in the valley of hesitation, know that the door will not remain open forever. And fellowship with God is better than anything you can imagine.
