Christianity: In one manner of speaking. It is not a religion. It is a relationship. We do not do things for a God that we have no relationship with. The LORD is not a God who desires your sacrifice or burnt offerings. The LORD provided Himself a sacrifice. What good would the sacrifice of an animal do against the sin in a person’s heart?

People who sought to worship false gods sometimes offered human sacrifices. What good would a human sacrifice do when the sacrifice itself is a murderous offense and sin against God’s character.

The only blood sacrifice that would suffice to atone for sin was the blood of GOD. However, GOD had no blood. In order for GOD to bleed, His Son had to be born as a man with flesh and blood. Then His sacrifice would not need to be for His own sin but for the sin of mankind. The blood of Christ Jesus was holy, and therefore, qualified to make atonement for those who believe.

We do not come to an idol made of stone which cannot hear and see and touch. We do not come to an idea that cannot be touched by us. We come to Our Father in Heaven. We receive The Spirit of The LORD to dwell with us and in us. We come into relationship with The Son of God. We talk to Him in prayer and He hears us. Because His Holy Spirit dwells with us and in us, we can hear His voice in our hearts.

God desires to be known. God longs to reveal Himself to us. We simply approach The LORD through faith in Christ Jesus. His Holy Spirit will flood our hearts with His love and give to us the nature and character of God. We will then hear His voice in every day life. He will lead us into all truth.
