Message Notes
“But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2 Corinthians 1:18–20, NKJV)
“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1, NKJV)
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:2–4, NKJV)
“The promises of God empower me.”
“Because of God’s promises, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
“Because of God’s promises I can be righteous.”
Because of my faith in the promise of God, I am righteous.”
“For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” (Galatians 5:5–6, NKJV)
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:14–21, NKJV)
God empowers me through His loving word. God’s loving words are vessels of grace. God’s grace is extended to us through the words that He speaks to us.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the loving word of God.
Man does not live by bread alone but by every loving word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
God’s loving words carry His grace into our hearts where they produce faith to carry them out and when they have matured we can give them to others.
With God all things are possible. God’s Spirit dwells in us so God is with us so all things are possible.
All things are possible to him who believes. We believe God’s promises and that makes all of them possible.
God has shown over and over again that He desires a vessel, a human vessel, to do things with. God has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that relationship is important. He is interested in partnering with us. But God, as a Good Father, desires us to grow up and be like Him. Now it is not healthy for a parent to think that their children will be exactly like them because each child has their own personality and gifting. But we do desire that they retain our culture and character - our nature.
God’s promises make this possible.
Because of God’s promises, I can have what ever God says I can have.
Because of God’s promises, I can do whatever God says I can do.
Because of God’s promises, I can be whatever God say I can be.
God's Loving Words are Vessels of Grace that Empower us through Faith to Walk in His Promises.
How do you receive grace? By believing in it.
How do you receive a promise? By believing in it.
Who revealed God’s grace to us? Christ Jesus The Word of God and The Promise of God.
Jesus, The Loving Word of God, is a vessel of grace given to all who believe.
How do you receive Jesus Christ in your heart? By believing in Him.
How do you receive His righteousness? By believing in Him.
How do you receive His healing power in your body? By believing in Him.
How do you receive His blessing on your finances? By believing in Him.
How do you activate them? By confessing them and applying His wisdom to your actions.
This is called corresponding action.
Faith without corresponding action is dead.
The corresponding action to faith is based upon the wisdom of God. Holy Spirit gives us the corresponding action through God’s inspired word and through His promptings.
We know by the Spirit that to receive Christ, one must believe in his heart and confess with His most the Lord Jesus. Confession is the corresponding action. Then we must hold fast to our profession of faith. The Spirit has already revealed this. We don’t have to argue about it. In your walk with Holy Spirit here on earth, you will have opportunities to carry on your profession of faith.
There are more promises. Forgiveness and righteousness are just the beginning. Jesus is the door. The kingdom of God has many promises, but when we enter into Christ, we enter into all of the promises of God. Holy Spirit will be with you and in you in every circumstance and He will help you believe and confess and apply the wisdom of God.
So let’s purpose in our hearts to receive the vessels of God’s grace that He has given us. Every promise has a purpose in our life. God is growing us up. He is working us both to will and to do HIS GOOD PLEASURE.
Temptations, Trials, Oppositions, Struggles, Persecutions, Tribulations all reveal areas of opportunity for growth in grace and faith.
These three remain, faith hope and love and the greatest of these is love.
