The Humble Leader - Day 2
The Voice & Posture of Pride
Scripture: Psalm 75:5; 1 Samuel 2:3; Proverbs 8:13; Jeremiah 48:29 (NKJV)
Devotion:Pride quickly moves from the heart to the mouth and posture. A “stiff neck,” lifted “horn,” arrogant words, and haughty attitude all declare, “I don’t need God or anyone else.” God hates pride and arrogance because they resist His rule. The fear of the Lord teaches us to hate what He hates.
Kingdom Application:Listen to your words today. Are they full of self, complaint, or subtle boasting? Replace every proud word with humble testimony of God’s goodness. Teach those you disciple that their speech reveals what rules their heart. A humble tongue opens doors for the Holy Spirit to speak through us.
Prayer:Father, set a guard over my mouth. Remove every stiff-necked attitude and arrogant word. I choose to speak with humility and wisdom. Let the fear of the Lord fill my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Kingdom Confession:“I speak with humility. I hate what God hates. My words honor the Lord who weighs every action.”
