Let’s talk about words - adopting the language of faith, hope and love.
How many times was the phrase, “And God said”, used in the first chapter of The Bible? Ten times.
Everything we believe as Christians finds its roots in, “And God said.”
When God wanted light, He did not say, “It sure is dark.” He said, “Let there be light.”
When Abraham had no children, God called Abraham a father of many nations. “(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” (Romans 4:17, NKJV)
In Luke 4, when answering the devil’s challenges after a forty day fast, the most powerful being in the universe said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
Jesus answered His challenges with, “And God said”. When God sees something He wants to change, He uses words in a positive way to change it. And we, as God’s dear children, imitate Him.
