What can your faith accomplish?

Communion Message

The LORD Jesus Christ was tortured and crucified to death on the cross.

Prior to His crucifixion, Jesus made a covenant meal of bread and wine with His disciples. This is where Jesus declared the New Covenant to them. He then was taken to be killed and on that cross, the new covenant was confirmed, cut, and sealed. Let’s read about it in Luke 22:14-20 “When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.” (Luke 22:14–20, NKJV)

After this, Our LORD Jesus became the lamb of sacrifice for sin and the author of a new and better covenant between God and people. He died and was buried in the tomb of a man named Joseph who had begged to take the body of our deliverer, the Anointed Jesus, off of the cross before sundown. Our Savior was then buried in that tomb and then rose from the dead on the third day. When The Lover of our Souls rose from the dead, He appeared to Mary Magdalene and another woman named Mary outside of His tomb. Then The Risen LORD went to heaven and, spiritually poured His blood - His life - upon the mercy seat of heaven. Our Heavenly Father fully accepted and approved of The Blood of The LAMB. Then the King of kings returned to earth and taught His disciples for 40 days about His kingdom. One of the very important things that He told His disciples is found in Matthew 28:18-20.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:18–20, NKJV)

If you have fully put your faith in The LORD Jesus Christ, let us all partake of the covenant meal as an act of obedience and our faith in Him. Check your heart. Are you in faith concerning the body and the blood of Christ Jesus? Right now, repent of any sin that has found a place in your flesh. Allow Holy Spirit to deal with any brokenness in your soul. Call on Jesus right now and find His peace that passes all understanding. Forgive and be forgiven. Don’t eat this with a faithless heart. Trust in Our Savior and Deliverer right now, for He is our peace. Pray

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

The Parable of the Talents

For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’” (Matthew 25:14–30, NKJV)

What did The LORD Jesus Christ give us when He went to The Father? Holy Spirit,  Promises - the Word, - And the combination of these is faith, hope and love.

Who has received Holy Spirit? Who has received promises? Who has received The WORD?

Who has faith?

Who owns the faith that you have?

35 times in The New Testament, the phrase “your faith” is used. I have the anthology here. We can read them all right now. How many of you will do a little bit of homework this week? Look up two phrases, “your faith” and “our faith”. There are about 40 verses. Look them up and read them? When you look these up in a Bible App, you need to put the phrase in quotation marks to get just what you are looking for. Let’s memorize this verse this week: “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4, NKJV)

What can your faith accomplish?

who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented—of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.” (Hebrews 11:33–38, NKJV)

Faith subdues kingdoms.

Faith works righteousness.

Faith obtains promises.

Faith stops the mouth of lions.

Faith quenches violence.

Faith escapes the edge of the sword.

Faith makes a weak person strong.

Faith makes one valiant in battle.

Faith chases off enemies.

Faith raises the dead.

Faith endures persecution, temptation, torture, trials, mocking, scourging and imprisonment.

Sometimes your faith is victorious by changing the situation. Your faith wins because of the breakthrough. Other times, your faith is unyielding in hardship and is victorious through your faithfulness to God. Your faith wins because you don’t give up and run away.

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:11–12, NKJV)

Whatever it is that you need, desire or want, if the promise is there, stand in faith on God’s word and believe and speak, calling those things that be not as though they were.

"YOUR FAITH" Scriptures

But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.” (Matthew 9:22, NKJV)

Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”” (Matthew 9:29, NKJV)

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” (Matthew 15:28, NKJV)

And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”” (Mark 5:34, NKJV)

Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.” (Mark 10:52, NKJV)

Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”” (Luke 7:50, NKJV)

But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”” (Luke 8:25, NKJV)

To the leper, “And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”” (Luke 17:19, NKJV)

But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”” (Luke 22:32, NKJV)

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.” (Romans 1:8, NKJV)

that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:5, NKJV)

Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.” (2 Corinthians 1:24, NKJV)

not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men’s labors, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere,” (2 Corinthians 10:15, NKJV)

Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,” (Ephesians 1:15, and Colossians 1:4 NKJV)

For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.” (Colossians 2:5, NKJV)

Because of their testimony, “For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.” (1 Thessalonians 1:8, NKJV)

Therefore, when we could no longer endure it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone, and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith, that no one should be shaken by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this. For, in fact, we told you before when we were with you that we would suffer tribulation, just as it happened, and you know. For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain. But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, as we also to see you—therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith. For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God, night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?” (1 Thessalonians 3:1–10, NKJV)

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,” (2 Thessalonians 1:3, NKJV)

hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” (Philemon 5–6, NKJV)

In temptation and persecution, “knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” (James 1:3, NKJV)

that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:7–9, NKJV)

who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” (1 Peter 1:21, NKJV)

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,” (2 Peter 1:5, NKJV)

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.’ ”” (Luke 17:5–10, NKJV)

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans 12:4–8, NKJV)

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1–2, NKJV)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4, NKJV)
