Part Six - God’s words in our mouths

We have often heard the Scripture in Proverbs, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21, NKJV)

We have probably heard this Scripture, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” (Deuteronomy 30:19, NKJV)

Well, let’s consider the following verse from Apostle Paul, “holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.” (Philippians 2:16, NKJV)

There are clearly words that produce life and words that produce death. Why do believers turn a blind eye to what the Scriptures clearly teach is our response to God? He has given us words of life. Our response is to choose His words of life. If we reject His words of life, we are rejecting faith in Him.

1. Believe in God - The Father
2. Believe in whom He sent - The Son, Christ Jesus
3. Receive His Spirit - Holy Spirit
4. Receive His Words - Humility
5. Say and Do what He said - Live by faith, hope and love
