The Word of God has the characteristics of a person and the characteristics of words from a spoken language.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:12–13, NKJV)

The Word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart, and there is nothing hidden from His sight. When we speak the word of God, our thoughts and intentions are exposed those who hear. Most importantly, Holy Spirit and our inner man are in communion and in agreement when we speak The Word of God. If our motives are bad, the word of God will minister correction to our heart. When our intentions are aligned with God’s word, we know we will have the petition that we make The LORD.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14–15, NKJV)

God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name above all names and God has exalted His Word even above His name. Jesus is The Word of God and so is The Word of God. Is that redundant? It is but it isn’t. The person of The Anointed King Jesus is Highly Exalted. The Words that come out of the mouth of God are exalted to the highest degree. The Word of God is Alive and Powerful. The Word of God is bot the person of King Jesus and the power of the Anointed Jesus. Jesus said that the words themselves are spirit and life.

Therefore, the powerful and living words of God in the heart and mouth of a believer are still alive an powerful. Speak the word of God only. We will experience victory in this life to the degree that we fill our hearts and mouths with God’s word.
