What is the difference between being “born again” and becoming spiritually mature?
These two things are not the same. One is like being born, and the other is like growing up and fulfilling purpose.
How does one become a child of God and receive salvation?
- “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9, NKJV)
How does one grow strong and spiritually mature as a follower of Christ Jesus?
- Believe in God - The Father
- Believe in the one whom he sent - The Son. Jesus Christ.
- Receive His Spirit - Holy Spirit
- Accept the authority of Christ Jesus - The King of kings.
- Receive God’s forgiveness - Atonement
- Forgive others and take no offense - Purity
- Fellowship with people of like precious faith - Church
- Worship God in spirit and truth - Spiritual Intimacy
- Exercise your right to become a son of God - Authority
- Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts - Power
- Love and serve one another - Character
- Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness - Faithfulness
- Study God’s Word - Discipleship
- Be imitators of God as dear children - Godliness
- Obey His words - Humility
- Keep His Words in your heart and in your mouth - Faith
- Follow Holy Spirit - Sonship
- Let Christ be formed in you - Identity
- Trust in the promises of God in spite of circumstances - Hope
- Choose Righteousness, Peace and Joy in The Holy Spirit - Kingdom Culture
- Be tenderhearted towards others - Kindness and Gentleness
- Do the good works that God has ordained you to do - Goodness
- Be steadfast in these things - Self Control, Patience and Perseverance
- Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, the Author and the Finisher of your faith.
