Seeking Jesus First - July 18, 2023
The New Covenant Scripture teaches us that faith in Christ Jesus puts us in right-standing with The Heavenly Father. Faith aligns our hearts with God. Faith in Jesus Christ equals righteousness. However, the manifestation of salvation in our lives here on earth is the result of our confession and conversation.
Confession aligns our thoughts, words, and deeds with God’s loving plan for us and accesses all that salvation promises. Even the manifestations of Holy Spirit come through this alignment. Preaching the gospel is a manifestation of changing our confession. Speaking the truth in love is all about aligning our confession with God’s loving plan for ourselves and others. We can’t grow up without changing the way we speak. The more we mature, the more our language matures.
Education affects the language we use. We speak according to what we know and believe. As we are grow in education, our speech grows in sophistication. So it stands to reason that we will not speak what we do not know and do not believe, and, as a result, we will not manifest it. As we grow in faith, our speech reflects that growth.
Every human being is born with similar potential, but not necessarily similar inclinations. Almost everyone will be able to walk and can learn to run, but not everyone wants to learn to run fast. Almost everyone will be able to think with their minds and receive an education, but not all want to be brain surgeons. The individual can have limitations put on them by others or by their environment, or the individual can limit himself. When a person receives training, they unlock potential. Greater knowledge can lead to greater opportunity.
Well, where is the seat of all knowledge and power? God.
“But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” (Luke 4:4, NKJV)
The way to unlock the most potential is to listen to God and be educated by Him. Let God train you with His words. More than likely, each of us can read what is written in the Bible. We can read the words of God that have been written down in a book. But more than the ability to read and to think deeply about what is written, we must have God’s help to understand what He said. These words were written by men under the inspiration of Holy Spirit. So we need the inspiration of The Holy Spirit to receive it. So God gave us each His Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit will use God’s Word to unlock great potential and possibility within us. We will be trained by God and receive our education from Him through His word. So our confession, what we say, will take on Godly characteristics. We will speak like God speaks because we are educated by God, Our Father. We receive God’s words. We are taught them by His Holy Spirit. Our faith in Christ Jesus means we have faith in His word. Our speech reflects that knowledge and faith.
It is a cycle of seedtime and harvest so it doesn’t matter which came first. We receive the word either in fruit form or seed form. Someone else may have believed it and has a harvest that they are sharing or we may have been studying and praying and Holy Spirit started teaching us about it. Either way, the word of God mixed with faith produces change inside of us. The change inside of us produces change on the outside of us. The change on the outside of us produces change in the world around us. And the cycle keeps repeating.
Said another way, The word of God that we hear produces faith in our hearts. This believing changes our inner man so that we believe God. This believing is righteousness or right standing with the one we believe - God. The change in the inner man changes the outer man. We walk and talk according to our faith. This change in the outer man changes our environment as we begin manifesting the salvation of God. We start experiencing PEACE (SHALOM), DELIVERANCE, PROSPERITY, HEALTH, PROTECTION, HELP, and FAMILY in the earth in our lifetime. Shalom, translated peace does not only mean tranquility of soul. It includes that but is not limited to it. It is wholeness and soundness in every area of our life and concerns. “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” (Psalm 138:8, NKJV) “…He will ever be mindful of His covenant.” (Psalm 111:5, NKJV) “Perfect” means “make whole”.
Believing puts us in right standing with God, so it puts us in right-standing with His promises. After believing, what we say has a direct correlation to what we are manifesting. Salvation is not righteousness or right-standing with God. Salvation is the result or benefit of right-standing with God. Deliverance, healing, provision, forgiveness, and peace (shalom - wholeness in all things) is the benefit of righteousness. Believing receives the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. “…But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, … The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” … So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:5–17, NKJV)
Be Li Eve
Be Listening Ever
Be ever listening to The Word of God with the ears of The Spirit
Belief comes by hearing and hearing by the (Rhema) (revealed) word of God.
Believing puts us in right standing with God and His promises. After believing, what we say has a direct correlation to what we are manifesting.
Faith puts you in the family. Confession accesses the inheritance. Faith puts our name on the family bank account, confession makes a legal withdrawal.
Faith receives God’s righteousness. Confession imparts God’s goodness in the earth and manifests your inheritance (salvation) in the earth.
Obedience to God’s Word honors your Heavenly Father, manifests the love of God to God’s family, and shows the world that you belong to the loving family of God.
Being led by The Spirit manifests the love of God in the earth, puts you in the right place at the right time, and allows you to find pockets of your inheritance that would not otherwise be revealed to you.
