Plant a money tree.
“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18, NKJV)
The spiritual blessing is released through God’s word. We receive it in our heart by the Spirit and faith is produced. We start renewing our mind and meditating on Scriptures that talk about how God wants us to walk in the blessing on our finances. We learn why God wants us to be blessed financially. We submit our thinking and we start decreeing what God has decreed over us. “God has empowered me to get wealth so that He may use me to build His kingdom in the earth.” We begin acting like a person who expects to succeed. We begin applying God’s principles to our life. We listen to The Spirit and expect Him to guide us into wealth. We prepare ourself in the natural to be wealthy so that we will know how to manage our finances. We learn to hate debt and we begin to live within our means. We start applying a portion of our income to building the kingdom of God. We become faithful over the little things that God gives us. Increase comes. We keep Jesus first and we continue to live a faithful life as increase comes.
“Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;” (Deuteronomy 8:11–14, NKJV)
If we want to grow tomatoes in our yard, we must plant tomatoes. The yard is yours. You may not want tomatoes. But whatever it is you want to grow, you must plant the seed that relates to your desire. We get to plant what we choose to plant. But we must plant what we want to grow. If you want to grow financial success in your yard, you must plant the seeds of financial success. If you want to grow health in your yard, you must plant the seeds of health. If you want to grow healthy loving relationships, you must plant the seeds of healthy loving relationships. If you want to grow righteousness, you must plant the seeds of righteousness.
If you could plant a money tree in your back yard, would you? Jesus told us that giving is a money tree. “Give and it shall be given to you…”. Paul told us that giving is a money tree. “He who sows sparingly shall reap sparingly…”. But what is the point of financial increase? It is to build the kingdom of God in the earth.
