Is your spiritual allegiance divided because of what is happening circumstantially?

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (Luke 16:10–13, NKJV)

The just shall live by faith. Even when we are working our natural job or business, we must live by faith. We must be faithful in the little things. What are the little things in our life? It might be easier to answer if we think of the things that seem little but, when ignored, can add up to a big problem later. A few examples can be found in the way we eat, exercise, pray, read the word, worship, treat family and friends, and even in how we accomplish our other daily tasks at home or at work.

If our vision is undivided, our whole life will be filled with light. When we have one master and keep our eyes on Him, we will see clearly how to execute our daily tasks or job. A job cannot blind us to the master unless we allow it to through making it our primary focus. This is the difference between doing something through the power of the flesh or doing it in the power of the spirit.

If our primary goal is to grow strong in spirit through our relationship with Holy Spirit and The Word of God, our tasks will begin to support that goal. We will do everything with all our strength as unto The Lord and not unto men. We will honor God in the way we do each task. We will draw from the Spirit of The Lord while we work. “The Lord is our strength.” “The joy of The Lord is our strength.” “We are strengthened with might by His Spirit in our inner man.”

The Scripture says to use all of our strength as unto The Lord, and that He is our strength. Therefore, if we seek him first and keep our relationship with Him our primary goal, we will draw from His strength as if it were our own. Perhaps, we will get to the place where we will see His strength as our inheritance in Christ Jesus, and we will no longer take credit for accomplishments but we will give all glory to God whose strength has become ours.
