Does God have faith in man? Does God believe that His very own creation will prevail over darkness? If we answer that God only has faith in Himself, then doesn’t that prove that He has faith in men? He believed that He could create a being that would be companion to Himself. God created mankind in His own image. Male and female created He them. He created humanity in His own image and then gave them flesh.
God is spirit - unseen to the natural eye (without some kind of supernatural gift).
Some of us science fiction fans think of this spiritual realm as another dimension or plane of reality. The words we use to describe it whether modern or Biblical does not change what it is. Paul talks about the third heaven, but God carried him into a spiritual plane of existence and taught him many things about the kingdom of God.
This spiritual realm must have pre-existed the creation of the universe. This Biblical truth is represented by, “In the beginning, God create the heavens and the earth.
Think about how a master builder creates a design and then takes all of the building materials and builds a magnificent theme park. The theme park exists in the world of it’s creator. When God created the heavens and the earth, the heavens and the earth existed in God’s world. Just as the theme park has no awareness of the creator nor of the world of its creator. The universe has no awareness of God. (Some might argue that point but let’s go with it for the sake of this analogy.)
When the theme park creator hires staff to run the park, they have awareness of the creator; but they may not know him or why he created the park. This is especially the case after a couple of generations. If no one receives the park creator’s own vision, the park will change over time and become something that it was not intended to be. This happened to Disney. It happened to America. And it happened to earth.
The only way for this to be fixed is for individuals to learn what was originally intended and begin taking ownership of the changes that are needed.
The natural realm - or that which we can see with out natural eyes - was created from the unseen realm.
The Unseen Creator has given the care and ownership of the seen realm to men.
In order for men to care for it as God intended, they must know God.
A person who lives in the seen realm must perceive the Unseen Creator through spiritual eyes and ears, also known as “FAITH.”
Once this awareness of the Unseen Creator comes into the heart, the awareness can increase through study and focus. We can look at what has been created and draw conclusions about the Unseen Creator.
The Unseen Creator can grant, through this faith relationship, special insight into Himself. He can also find ways to reveal Himself in the natural realm that makes it impossible to deny His existence. He is after all The Creator, so He can interact with those who put their faith in Him.
As we progress through creation until now, God has always developed relationships with people who put their faith and focus on Him. Many of these relationships. called covenants, were formed through the shedding of blood.
But so much of mankind was faithless over the years and this independence from God led to murders, wars, greediness, hate etc. This proclivity for faithlessness and sin drove a wedge between The Creator and humanity - not to mention, it caused a lack of trust between humans too.
And The Creator, Who desired to have companions in the seen world found Himself having no faith in humans and came to the brink of repenting even making them. But instead, He chose to forgive their sins and give them Himself. He gave them His very own HOLY SPIRIT. He made a way for the seen realm to return to its original purpose by RE-Creating humanity. We have been made new creatures in Christ Jesus.
He gives His Holy Spirit to those who believe and, in doing so, He Re-Creates us in His image. He restores our capacity for companionship with Himself. We are miraculously placed on His plane of existence with the ability to know Him even as we are known of Him. This is all made possible because we all share of the same Spirit. We are even able to trust each other because of the same Spirit.
“We are all made to drink of the same Spirit”
So, when God puts His faith in Himself, He is actually putting His faith in us. This is a play on words that means more than one thing.
We have been given the God-kind of faith, so His faith is in us.
We have the Spirit of God and we are united with Him by that same Spirit, so He believes in His Spirit and in us.
God has faith in us because he has put His faith IN US. All things are possible to him who believes. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Greater works shall you do because I go to The Father. WE CAN because HE DID. WE DO because HE DOES.
We are more than conquerors! We are over-comers! We are just like our Father and Elder Brother.
Let’s stop calling ourselves out as being separate from God. Don’t say, “I can’t do anything without Him.” You will never be without Him unless you are rejecting Him. In which case, that statement would be true. But we are not those who draw back to perdition, but we are those who press on in faith toward the mark for the prize of the high calling as Sons of God in Christ Jesus. Instead say, “I can do all things through him.” Positive is better.
Trust God, Who made you and believes in you. You can do it. Pray in The Spirit. Speak The Word of God in faith and love. By love serve each other. Believe the promises of health, wealth, and peace. Take the inheritance and then share it. Go ahead and be restored to God’s original purpose for you because you are a new creature. Old things have passed away and all things are made new.
I have faith in you because I have faith in God who dwells in you by His Spirit. Don’t give up! Keep on growing forward!
