In Mark 4:35-41, we read about the disciples in a boat with Jesus during a storm. The disciples, who were fishermen, were afraid because of the storm. They woke Jesus up (because He was asleep), and Jesus rebuked the wind and waves saying, “Peace, Be still.” Then Jesus rebuked His disciples because they were fearful, meaning they had no faith. Think about what Jesus told His disciple prior to getting on the boat: “On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”” (Mark 4:35, NKJV)
Jesus said, "Let US” go…
We are not walking or boating alone. We get to walk through life with Jesus (Holy Spirit) trusting His words and companionship. When He rests, we rest. When He works, we work. Remember what we say to religious people? It is not about religion, it is about relationship. The point is to ‘GO WITH JESUS’. We trust Him and His words. We stay faithful in spite of circumstances. The storms can't stop us because we go with Jesus and in Jesus. If we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we shall ask what we will and it will be done.
