“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” (2 Corinthians 4:7–10, NKJV)
By faith we receive the power of God in our earthly bodies. Because it is by faith, we understand that it is God’s excellent power working in us and not a power that we have self generated through fleshly piety or good works. We simply believed God and received it from God. Now it dwells within our earthly vessels - our bodies. The power of God dwells in us.
The power of God abides in us when we are hard-pressed on every side. The power of God makes us “Un-Crushable”.
The power of God is ours when we don’t know what to do. The power of God keeps us full of hope.
The power of God dwells in us when we are persecuted. The power of God reassures us that we are not forsaken.
The power of God is in us when we are struck down. The power of god makes us “In-Destructable”.
And guess what! We also carry the power of God when none of those things are happening to us. We are strengthened with all might according to God’s glorious power.
