Part Four - Impacting the natural realm for good.
It seems obvious to the world that actions have impact. We learned in our early science classes that “every action has an equaling opposite reaction.” Our actions are so important that Jesus commanded us to motivate our actions towards each other with unconditional love. The loving deed receives an equal and opposite reaction. This means the reaction is equal in condition and opposite in direction. So our loving deeds begin coming back to us in the form of loving deeds. Hence, we reap what we sow.
The funny thing is, I don’t have to convince unbelievers that this is true. On the other hand, believers seem to want to argue about it. We say things like, “But we reap what Christ sowed.”, or “We are forgiven for our wrongs so we won’t reap from them.” We just need to remember that forgiveness is a spiritual truth that is received by faith. We are washed and we are made righteous in our inner man. Our inner being, the spirit of a person, becomes an eternal being filled with the light of God through grace and faith. However, Apostle Paul says that the outward man continues to age and perish. So something must take place in the outward man’s actions if he wants to reap something new.
A person can get saved and keep doing things that destroy the body and the body will be destroyed because of his actions. So what does the person who wants to receive a different harvest do? They repent. They believe God’s Word. They come into relationship with God and start receiving God’s grace by faith. They receive the mind of Christ. They receive Holy Spirit and begin a relationship of talking and listening to and obeying God. This changes how the outward man speaks and acts, which, in turn, changes the results that the outward man sees.
