It is humility that recognizes that God has the highest word, the highest authority, the highest wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It is humility that does not judge others, but submits to Christ Jesus as the judge.
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?” (James 4:10–12, NKJV)
The Lawgiver of The New Covenant is The One who said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” (John 13:34, NKJV) Christ Jesus is The Lawgiver and The Judge of all things. He judges according to His own command. “Love one another.” If we speak evil of each other we are speaking against The Law of Love and exalting ourselves in pride. Pride is the sin of satan. Humility is the faith of Christ Jesus which works by love.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NKJV)
