What if we lived by “every word that comes from the mouth of The Father” as Jesus declared in Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4?
We have the choice to live by the words of “I AM” or by the words of man. I know some would question whether or not we have a choice. Built into the admonition to walk with God and to believe and to obey God’s words is the potential to disobey or to ignore what God says. According to Galatians 6, there are still consequences for living in opposition to God’s Words just as there are rewards for aligning with them.
The Words of The I AM produce the greatest possible outcome for living. God’s words enlighten us: spirit, soul and body. They strengthen us in our inner man. They restore our broken souls. They heal our bodies. They teach us how to live with one another.
David wrote, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11, NKJV) Jesus taught that life itself flows out of aligning with The Father’s words.
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:11,24, NKJV) “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—” (1 John 1:1, NKJV). “holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.” (Philippians 2:16, NKJV)
Christ Jesus is the word of life, given by The Father to us, that we might believe His word and live.
