Part Ten - God’s words in our mouths
Imitation is the highest form of praise and adoration.
“Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1, NKJV)
“that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” (Hebrews 6:12, NKJV)
“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” (Ephesians 5:1–2, NKJV) A few verses before this one is, “but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—” (Ephesians 4:15, NKJV)
We are told to imitate Apostle Paul as he imitates the anointed one and manifests the anointing.
We are told to imitate the apostles and prophets who through faith and patience inherited the promises of God.
We are told to imitate God as dear children and walk in love.
We are told to speak the truth in love in order to grow up into Christ.
We are not imitating them if we are not speaking and living in faith, hope and love. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13, NKJV)
We are anointed to speak and act like The LORD Jesus Christ. We can do all things through Him who strengthens. “And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” (Isaiah 51:16, NKJV)
